It governs all personal data collected online or digitally by SafeTalks in the course of providing emotional support and peer listening services.

This Privacy Policy forms an integral part of, and must be read together with, the Terms & Conditions of SafeTalks available on the Platform. By accessing or using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by both this Privacy Policy and the Terms & Conditions. In the event of any inconsistency between this Privacy Policy and the Terms & Conditions, the provisions of the Terms & Conditions shall prevail to the extent permitted under applicable law.

3.1 Information Provided Directly by You

SafeTalks does not record calls or live listening sessions. However, for operational and service improvement purposes, we may collect limited session-related metadata such as the duration and frequency of sessions. This information is used strictly for billing, internal analysis, and improving service efficiency.

In the future, SafeTalks may consider recording or analysing sessions only in an aggregated and anonymised manner for purposes such as listener training, service enhancement, and quality improvement. Any such change will be implemented only after obtaining explicit and informed consent from users, in compliance with the DPDP Act.

3.3 Technical and Usage Information

We may automatically collect certain technical data such as IP address, device type, and browser details. This information is standard for website security, fraud prevention, and system administration and does not, by itself, identify you personally.

SafeTalks uses personal data strictly for legitimate and specified purposes. Your data is processed to connect you with an appropriate empathetic listener, schedule and manage sessions through a call, WhatsApp, SMS, or email, and enhance the overall user experience of the Platform. SafeTalks maintains strict confidentiality over all information shared during sessions. Listener interactions are private and treated with the utmost sensitivity.

Disclosure of information may occur only in limited and legally justified circumstances, including where there is a clear and imminent risk to your life or the life of another person, or where disclosure is required by a valid court order or lawful directive under Indian law.

You, after providing adequate proof of your identity, have the right to request SafeTalks to provide, free of charge, a summary of your personal data that SafeTalks processes and the manner in which SafeTalks processes your personal data. You also hold the right to request SafeTalks regarding the identities of other Data Fiduciaries and Data Processors with whom your personal data is shared along with the description of your personal data that is shared. It must be noted that this right is available in relation to the personal information for which you have provided consent.

  1. RIGHT TO CORRECTION AND ERASURE

You have the right to request correction of misleading and inaccurate personal data, completion of incomplete data, updating and erasure of your personal data that SafeTalks possesses. This right is available in relation to the personal information for which you have provided consent.

  1. RIGHT OF GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL

You have the right to have grievance redressal in respect of any act or omission regarding the performance of Safetalk's obligations in relation to your personal data or the exercise of your rights.

  1. RIGHT TO NOMINATE

SafeTalks allows you the right to nominate another individual who will then be able to exercise your rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity due to unsoundness of mind or infirmity of body.

We will require you to provide a valid proof of your identity (verifiable user request), in order to ensure that your rights are respected.
